The chimneys of Hell/ Black Raven

The volcano havoc reminds me of these lines from my beloved "The Marsh King" by C.W.Hodges, the juvenile about Alfred the Great;

It is said that the Devil himself dwells in the north. In the land of Iceland in the northern sea there is a smoking mountain, which is one of the chimneys of Hell.

Yet Another "Crepuscular Rays"

This is based on the photo used for the background of the website.

25"x20"/65x53cm, Chinese ink and some gold paint on Chinese paper. Finished on Feb 28, 2010.

I've always wanted to draw a white bird(s) under the rays but it hasn't felt right.
Maybe I'd better draw it separately, I think.

Crepuscular Rays

Had been abandoned here for a while.

Crepuscular rays and white birds may lead me.
